Borth Community Council have updated and expanded the Community Flood Plan to include storms, power cuts, prolonged snow and fire.  It is now a Community Emergency Plan.

We have worked with the local Coastguard, RNLI, Ceredigion County Council and Natural Resources Wales to produce the plan and have also included our experience gained from the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, winter storms, high tides and flooding events.

The Community Emergency Plan won’t fossilise, as a Council we will keep it under review and up to date so that it meets the needs of residents, businesses, visitors and tourists in Borth and Ynyslas.

Volunteer Community Wardens are an important part of any response, they help to communicate messages to residents in their ‘patch’, helping to keep people safe. Let us know if you don’t know who your Community Warden is, we can put you in touch.
